Wondering what was in that melange of tasties on the 20th May at Wild Tots? Well, below you will find the rough outline of what you ate and what was in it.

Pitta bread toasted on the hanging grill, spread with home made Hummus

  • Chick peas soaked, cooked and mashed with a fork then add

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • Juice of 1 lemon and some water to loosen

  • Salt and pepper

  • Sprinkle of cumin seeds........................all to taste.

You then ate pork sausages made from a woodland grown pig quarter of a mile from Kington, butchered and made up 15 mins from the wood where it grew up.

Then you had a flight of fancy called Spicy chicken with noodles.

  • One onion

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • One small celery head, fried up gently with the above in olive oil.

  • Add one can of coconut milk and 4 cubed potatoes plus water, to cover,

  • When potatoes are cooked (the starch will release and slightly thicken the stock) add chopped greens , what ever you have in the garden. Today we had fennel shoots, sproutings and spinach.

  • Season to taste and add some noodles, cook for a further 4-5 mins and serve.

So there you have it, a tasty and easy session outside with the fire and Kotlich kit. See you again later in the year.
