I found Willa the art student bundled up against the cold and ready to help me with photography, styling and eating the pumpkins soup.  In the beautiful summer house amongst the wooden beams and stone flagged paths and floor we enjoyed a happy morning.
British Cassis is well named, Blackcurrent Cassis made from their own farm grown bl;ackcurrents, was the first flavour. This was closely followed by three other delcious tastes, pear, strawberry and rasberry.

Outdoor Kitchen visited the Home of British Cassis before Easter.  It was a cold, knife wind day with patches of slowly melting snow.

Each fruit mixer contains 95% pressed fruit juice, a little champagne yeast and just the right amount of British sugar to sweeten."IMGP8551kotlichcassisfb

British Cassis is a great promoter of all things British and follow through with all their own products.

British Cassis won Great Taste Gold awards in both 2011 ans 2012.  In 2013 they won the Flavours of Herefordshire Food and Drink award.IMGP8566closeupcassisfb

You can order British Cassis on line in different sized single bottles, cases of 6 or 12 bottles and a Proud to be British Gift Pack.

While the British Cassis may warm the Cockles in an alchoholic sort of glowing way, a hearty pumpkin soup cooked in a Kotlich from the Outdoor Kitchen,  warmed our hands and our hearts in a different way.  The Kotlich is suitable for any cooking that involves gravy or liquid, like soups or goulash, .  Mulled alchoholic drinks, cider or wine work well.  We also use our Kotlich for making marmalade and jams, cooking outside in most weathers.  If you like forest or beach adventures, own a cabin or a holiday hideaway the Kotlich is just the thing for impromptu cook up.  You can be as sophisticated or as simple as you want or time allows. The only limits to Kotlich cooking is time and imagination.
